Picture and Document Preservation and Restoration
You possibly have several old boxes of photographs stored in your basement or attic. The photos are not in any particular order and many do not have any names associated with them. Depending upon the type of photograph and the type of paper used in the printing process, many of these photos are well on their way to totally fading away. There are ways to preserve your pictures so they may be enjoyed for years to come. A lot of genealogical history can be obtained from these photographs but once they are destroyed that information is gone forever. You may also have old family documents that are folded up and stuffed in envelopes. These too need to be carefully preserved and scanned. Many times you will have a photograph or document that appears to be beyond repair. While the physical item may not be restored, the photograph or document can be professionally scanned, restored and printed on special paper that can with stand the rigors of time.
We will be offering several preservation and restoration services in the near future. This will include scanning services, photo album services, photo restoration and special family portraits. Below are two examples of restorations we had performed, one on a tin type picture and one on a drawing made by my husband's great, great grandfather.
