Life Long Journey...
What started just as a curious question has developed into a life long passion. We knew very little about our respective families beyond our grand parents and some close cousins. We had heard bits and pieces of stories when we were little and peeked inside the shoe boxes containing the old family photos. However we were never were able to get a complete picture. I then decided to start researching my line and my husband's line. From that simple beginning we have charted our families extensively and have actually met family members we never knew about. We have learned that even the simplest of notes can contain important clues about long past relatives. When we moved to North Carolina, where my husband's family settled, we even 'adopted' a cemetery. We have cleaned many of the old stones and raised several stones that had sunk into the ground. We feel that genealogy is more than just developing a family tree some where in the cloud. While that is very important it should also be about preserving the past and restoring and maintaining what we can so it can be shared by future generations. Since I started on this journey I have obtained my certification from the University of Boston. And I am always continuing my education. My clients come from all of the United States wanting to know more about their family but are unsure how to proceed.
I am passionate about uncovering the lost trails of a family line and about helping my clients find the best way to preserve their history. I would enjoy talking to you about your special situation. Please feel free to use the "Contact Us" tab and I will get back to you promptly.
